JETCAM launches new versions of JET-Term and Mini-PPS

JETCAM International Limited has released information on the joint launch of two new releases of products ? JET-Term 6.0 DNC and Mini-PPS 4.0 Remote Scheduling software.
JET-Term offers users a low-cost, reliable method of transmitting NC files from any CADCAM software to machines on the shopfloor. Version 6 of JET-Term offers several new features over the previous versions. NC File requests can be made directly from the machine control and JET-Term?s built in automation will locate and download the requested file. Older machines requiring repeated download of the same NC file can take advantage of the new automatic cycle feed facility. The new component identification feature displays a list of all components found in the current nest. Selecting a component from the list will highlight all occurrences of this component found in the displayed nest drawing. Alternatively, selecting a component in the nest drawing will highlight the selected component in the list.
Mini-PPS, which is free to all existing JETCAM users and allows companies that do not have Production Control Software to ?remotely? edit and create lists of component orders for JETCAM system. It also enables the use of whole assemblies so that bills of material can be used to create order lists. Version 4 now includes an improved user interface and a brand new JETCAM system geometry viewer. PPS uses its own component and assembly database, however fully automatic import of existing JETCAM components is supported ? allowing also JETCAM directories to optionally be imported as existing assemblies. Existing JETCAM component drawings can now be viewed directly in PPS whenever a component is selected in any of the available viewing modes.
Mini-PPS 4.0 is available for immediate download by all existing JETCAM customers from their website. JET-Term 6.0 is available through JETCAM?s Reseller network.
