MTTA secures future of UK manufacturing exhibitions
November 2001
The Machine Tool Technologies Association (MTTA) has purchased the Welding & Metal Fabrication, Automation & Robotics and Engineering Lasers exhibitions from DMG World Media. They become part of an expanded stable of five exhibitions organised by the MTTA, including its own long-established and highly successful ?MACH?.
Simon Brown, Director General of MTTA, said: ?The acquisition of these three exhibitions meets the Association?s strategic objective of playing a leading role in the organisation of major manufacturing exhibitions in the UK. We can, therefore, be certain to provide the best possible selling platform for exhibitors, including companies that comprise our own membership. Similarly, we will use our organising experience and expertise to ensure that the five manufacturing exhibitions, under our control, fully meet the needs and expectations of the shows? trade visitors.?
Hall 2 at the NEC next year will be the venue where the three shows will run alongside MACH 2002 and Metalworking 2002 from 29 April to 3 May. Along with the Subcon exhibition, they come together to create ?The UK?s Number 1 Manufacturing Event in 2002?.
