Sheetmetalworld launches new free services

Sheetmetalworld.com, the fabrication manufacturing portal has launched several new free online services that will allow companies to easily sell products to a global audience and promote communication on extremely targeted subjects.
The most significant of the new services is the Free Classified adverts. This allows companies or individuals to advertise products online. Unlike many other similar services this is totally free, and also includes the ability to display up to three images of the product. Currently there are four categories, which will be broken down into further subcategories as more content is added. The Exhibitions section of the site has also been replaced. In addition to displaying content in a user-friendly month-by-month format, registered visitors can also submit their own events for inclusion in the site. Examples might include company open houses or local exhibitions. Events can be viewed in the original tabular form, or by day, week or month. Companies submitting news releases -; another free service - now have access to a full ‘word-processor’ style interface, with the ability to add pictures to press releases. News is now also syndicated to thousands of websites using the industry standard RSS (Really Simple Syndication) format. The discussion forum engine has also been replaced with a new system that integrates with the above process - users can register with a single username and password that will allow them to submit classified ads, new events and post messages on the forums. A spokesperson for Sheetmetalworld.com said; "The site has undergone considerable back-end development to provide a seamless link between the new elements, and is now run from multiple servers spanning different continents. This allows us to utilize different technology platforms to provide the best solution for the application in hand. For example, by combining the user registration process future modules can easily be plugged in, allowing regular visitors of the site to immediately take full advantage of them. Sheetmetalworld.com provides a one-stop-shop for finding information or promoting your own products, services or events – and all for free." Registration is free – users simply click on the user login/register link at the top of each page, and then complete the brief registration form.
